About Me
My unique educational and professional background provided the perfect skill set that led me to my career in residential real estate in Southern California. Simply put, I’m an experienced marketer AND contract negotiator.
A native of Mississippi, I graduated from Vanderbilt University in 1992, and embarked on a career in advertising and public relations for two prestigious ad agencies in the Southeast. I worked as an account manager with such national and international companies as Anheuser Busch, Embraer Aircraft, American Eurocopter, Wolfgang Puck, Morton’s, International Paper and The National Civil Rights Museum. I thrived on the excitement of strategically and creatively meeting clients’ needs while working under stringent deadlines. However, after four years in advertising, I decided to return to Mississippi to attend law school and received my Juris Doctorate in 1998. After receiving my law degree, I began working in my family’s business and was responsible for opening new retail locations, developing advertising/marketing initiatives for new and existing stores and serving as in-house counsel.
While gaining valuable knowledge about the operations of my family’s business, I felt a need to be entrepreneurial and longed to head west to California for new opportunities. In 2003, I relocated to Santa Monica and I truly felt like I was “home.” Having a life-long interest in architecture and real estate, I obtained my California real estate license and joined Keller Williams in Beverly Hills in early 2004.
Along with my extensive marketing and contract negotiating experience, I love the challenge of putting buyers and sellers together. It’s fun.
Giving back is important to me as well -- I volunteer at the Santa Monica Library, am a supporter of the arts for the Santa Monica Public Schools and of Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Greater Los Angeles.
